The Henley Fringe Trust promotes theatre, drama and comedy to the public. It is open to all applicants.
A selection process ensures that variety, high quality, professionalism and opportunity are always maintained. It provides theatre artistes with a means of showcasing their work to the public and to industry professionals.
The Henley Fringe is a growing festival which is fast becoming recognized as a preview venue for Edinburgh Fringe; a supportive creative environment; a fun and exciting festival; the place to be for the last week of July!!

1. Amazing Singing Dentists
Those four fabulous flossers the acoustic harmony group the (Bay Citee) Molars (formerly the Amazing Singing Dentists) invite you into their world of sex and gums and rock and roll.
2. An Act of Will
The Secret Life of William Shakespeare. Written and performed by Michael McEvoy. Directed by Steven Canny
3. Barnstable
Shadow & Larkin productions return to the Festival following last year's sell out success 'Roma's Song' with a little known gem of a play. 'Barnstable' by James Saunders written in 1959, at first sight is a series of theatrical clichés, but is infact an intriguing one-act satire regarding the state of the nation and the fear of nuclear war - still highly relevant 51 years later!
4. Beef Encounter
Written and performed by Claire Carroll, Beef Encounter tells the story of reluctant rambler and renowned food critic, Belinda Donovan, who gets separated from her group on a walking holiday.
5. Diva Productions
Divine Divas Productions presents the premiere of ‘lights, camera…..RESTING!’, written, produced by and starring Yvonne Delahaye, Bryony Growdon and Vicky Poole. A musical comedy play set within the flat of our three ‘resting’ actresses ‘Jax’, ‘Suzie’ and ‘Rachel’. The show is interspersed with original songs, composed by international composer Matheson Bayley.
6. Helen Keen
Helen Keen loves space rockets. She brings their story to life with a fusion of stand-up comedy and tinfoil in her award-winning show – soon to be a BBC Radio 4 series.
7. Hispanic Theatre (International Theatre – Town Hall)
a dark comedy about gay latino immigrants trying to make a living in the United States
8.Importance of Being Ernest
Jack's not the only one leading a double life in this sparkling comedy of wit, manners, mistaken identities and the mother-in-law from hell. Will the ladies resort to violence? Will the chaps ever unravel all the lies?
9. Judenfrei
Love and death in Hitler’s Germany by Kate Glover. Directed by Tom Scott.
The passionate love story and the desperate dilemma of Hanna and Philipp, two gifted young lawyers.
10. Kellys Komedy / A&E Comedy
Edinburgh preview comedy and the best up and coming talent.
11. Love Letters
Presented by Inspire Theatre, award winning 'Love Letters' is a witty and bittersweet play that follows the relationship between two people through a lifetime of letters.
12. Magosi Productions
A political drama about South Africa
13. Measure for Measure
'Tis one thing to be tempted, another thing to fall'.
Turning everyday spaces into unusual performance venues, RoguePlay Theatre, gives Shakespeare’s enduring tale of loyalty versus hypocrisy a modern twist with this unique promenade performance.
14. Not Just a Suitcase
A big imagination plus an even bigger suitcase equals one huge journey. RoguePlay Theatre performs this beautifully visual piece of physical theatre suitable for inquisitive young minds and adults just wishing to be whisked away. A fast paced and family friendly piece recommended for children aged 6+.
15. Portrait of an Actress
‘Do you think that Zoe Wannamaker would stand for beige lederhosen?!?’
We all know a career in the arts is a relentless struggle for artistic integrity plagued by underpaid roles. For anyone, who’s ever had to discover their ‘inner cat’ or had their arm in a soap opera! If all the world really is a stage, then all the men and women are merely evil cat henchmen! Recommended for anyone aged 16+
16. Powercut
MADELEINE and EDWARD are celebrating their twentieth Wedding Anniversary in a cute little cottage in Devon - or are they? Ros Adler returns to Henley with POWERCUT.
17. Talking Heads
Aston Productions returns to the Henley Fringe with Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads.
Marvellously observant, touching, real, and very funny.
18. Teak Show
Back for their third festival – TeakShow are Henley Fringe veterans! Welcome to their brand new show, “TeakShow’s Inner Nutter”.
19. Teechers
Following last year’s sell-out success with Abigail’s Party at Henley, FalconGrange Productions presents Teechers, a comedy for anyone who has ever been to school.
20. The Killing Of Sister George
Goodmann Productions present their contemporary version of The Killing of Sister George. A tale of celebrity, female passion, sexual jealousy and ultimate betrayal.
21. The Light House Keepers Lunch
FalconGrange Productions, who last year delighted audiences with The Town Mouse & The Country Mouse, return to The Henley Fringe with the award winning children’s classic The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.
22. The Picture of Dorian Gray
'The Picture Of Dorian Gray' tells the story of one man's fall from grace. From a position of great fame - on the cover of every gossip magazine - Dorian descends into a world of drug and sex fuelled infamy. 'Incorporates catchy tunes which span an impressive range of styles........works wonderfully' The Stage
23. Waiting
Written and directed by Naia Headland-Vanni.
Waiting explores that in-between moment in our lives. The moment when we are forced to make a choice. The moment when we are forced to grow up.
24. Wind in The Willows
Ratatat Theatre Company Ltd present the classic tale of mysticism, adventure, morality, and camaraderie, written in 1908 by Kenneth Grahame.
An exciting new version of this family classic adapted by Martin Riley (BBC’s The Worst Witch) for all ages. With DOMINIC GOODWIN as TOAD leading a cast of four.
